One side of the ring: A military dictatorship trying to revamp it's image by going to a war it thought it could win. And make the Argentine people forget about the thousands of killings, political prisoners etc.

Other side of the ring: A imperial superpower that wanted to show who was the strongest. In a time of internal crisis because of an economic collapse.

Loosers: inhabitant on the Malvinas and the Argentine population. And a whole lot of soldiers.

I'm from Argentina and some time ago I was playing backgammon on the Zone, and it turned out my contestor was english. I go "hey, my preferred enemies!", and so and so. At some point I was winning the game the brutal way so I tell the guy "well think it that way, you may spend a summer at the Falklands and I can't" to what he responds "yeah, but they're kind of far away" and I say "far away, and it's always cold and cloudy if not rainy". So please, help yourself.

PS: the guy was really funny and we had a great time playing and chatting.
