Argentina is situated in the southern part of South America. As to its extension, Argentina is the second country in South America and the eigth country in the world. It has a continental surface of 3,761,274 km 2 , including Malvinas Isles, other islands of the South Atlantic ocean, and Antartica. From north to south, Argentina has an extension of 3,800 km and from east to west, it extends for 1,425 km.
Argentina limits with Bolivia and Paraguay on the north, with Brazil, Uruguay and the Atlantic Ocean on the east, and with the Atlantic Ocean and Chile on the south and west.
